I recently read the current issue of Elle magazine UK and there was an article about how today's catwalks have become too much about good taste and not enough about creativity and suspense.
"People seem to want a FASHION show to be a rail of clothes. Perhaps that's why there's all this good TASTE around. It's like a creative coma" says Erin Mullaney (Elle Magazine Uk)
"Why were there not major changes in the way we dress? Whatever happened to the catwalk show as a theatrical spectacular? And why was I never sitting - heart pumping, blood rushing to my head-on the edge of my seat?" Elle Magazine
I personally believe that the catwalk today is very creative and full of exciting collections. Of course every designer wants to be known for good taste but I don't think that affects their catwalk collections. How can a catwalk be boring when it's full of dalmation prints, neon colours, freaky faces and much more...
